Tending the Tides supports expectant and postpartum families through the ebbs and flows of early parenthood, offering food and herbs to nourish wellbeing.

In partnership with birthworkers and maternal health care organizations, Our Mothers Gardens and Con Cariño facilitate a flow of care, connection, and collective healing that honors plant-based cultural practices that tend to the bodies, minds and spirits of new parents and new borns.

Rooted in reproductive justice, we work to expand access to farm fresh meals and medicine through SNAP, WIC and Oregon Farm Direct Dollars, centering Black, Latiné and Indigenous families most in need of affordable and nutritious food.

Storytelling and yoga are woven into Tending the Tides as practices that help families return to rhythm. Through guided movement, writing, interviews, and photography, parents are invited to reflect, rest, and document their journeys. These acts of remembrance and embodiment deepen the connection to care, transforming food access into a fuller expression of visibility, voice, and belonging.

The waves are gathering. Join our current of care.
